Who are we
We don’t just make tents. We camp in them.
YUANGU OUTDOOR is an outdoor tent and camping gear manufacturer based in Xiamen, China. Our factory sits in Jimei District, Xiamen — two full floors, home to a core team of 40+ people covering design, pattern making, cutting, sewing and QC. Everyone on the team has 20+ years in the tent trade.
We Camp In What We Make
We don’t just make tents — we camp in them ourselves. Every new model — inflatable, rooftop, pop-up or pole-supported — goes through our own camping field tests first: pitched, slept in, weathered.
Then it gets handed over to real domestic users across China — through wind, rain, cross-country overlanding, long-term campsite use. We fix what breaks at home before we ever think about exporting. We don’t treat overseas customers as guinea pigs.
Our Craft
Every YUANGU tent goes through our own prototyping, field testing and revision process. We currently hold 16 related patents.

Our Story
HOW DID OUR BRAND COME INTO BEING?
In the 2008 Spring Festival travel rush, founder Mr.Liu was stuck on the highway during the historic catastrophic snow and ice disaster hitting South China. Heavy ice and snow blocked traffic completely, numerous homebound travelers were trapped in cold vehicles short of food and daily necessities.
As an avid outdoor enthusiast, Mr. Liu always kept a full set of outdoor gear and reserve food in his car. Using portable camping cookware, he made hot meals and shared warm food with stranded elders and hungry children stuck nearby. Witnessing how reliable outdoor gear could help people through unexpected hardships sparked his big idea.
From that moment, Mr. Liu resolved to devote himself to the outdoor industry. He aimed to develop sturdy, practical and reliable camping tents & outdoor gear to shield users from abrupt weather changes and unexpected emergencies. This heartwarming experience amid the heavy snow marked the founding origin of YUANGU OUTDOOR. In 2017, Mr. Liu officially established the YUANGU brand, supplying premium outdoor products for domestic Chinese customers while exporting globally to overseas markets.
